Our Silas Turns Two!!

Our little Silas turned two!!! We had a big party for the little fella, and had quite the turn out!! It was supposed to be a low key cookout, but you know us... we had over 40 people at said "low key" event. We have lots of people in our lives who love our little man, and wanted to come celebrate him with us!! Praise God for that!
As with our "low key" event, we took a "few" pictures of the day :)...

Father's Day

David got a pretty fabulous Father's Day present from his adoring family... we got him a shotgun! I quizzed his friends on what kind he wanted, and they were able to give me the exact specs. Dad and Tyler (David's Dad) went with me, and we bought him a 12ga shotgun! It was so much fun :)
On Sunday afternoon we took him out to Hartley and we all shot skeet. It was a lot of fun! Once I got the iron sights figured out I hit a few in a row!
Since that day, Silas has grabs his "gun" (whatever stick-like tool he finds) and yells "Pull!" MIGHT be the cutest thing ever. :)

Take another little piece of my ...citrus??

Silas LOVES citrus! When we are at restaurants, I get at least 3 lemon slices for him to suck on! The other day we gave him an orange slice and he (understandibly) liked it more than he likes lemons!

Sunny Day!!

We had one sunny day!! It was a ray of hope!! Silas and David played outside much of the day... Here are pictures of Silas' favorite part - eating grass!!!

Blueridge Parkway!

David, Silas, and I went up to North Carolina for a weekend last month! We had so much fun... didn't do much, and I think that was the best part! On Saturday we tried to drive up to Devil's Courthouse, but the Blueridge Parkway was closed. We decided, instead, to just walk along the Parkway a little ways. The pictures don't do the amount of snow justice - we were walking on 8 inches, and we saw two guys skiing on the road!!
We forgot the camera while we were walking, but here are some pictures from when we got back to the car.

Canning Day!!

David and I canned peach preserves and cinnamon pears in January. I had frozen the fruit just after Silas was born and we finally got around to putting it away!! Here are a few pictures. These MIGHT be the cutest pictures of Silas EVER.

Best Bud Ever

Natalie, Doug, and Talon were in town for several weeks in December and January!! We never got around to getting really good pictures of the boys together, but here are a few that we snapped one day.
